Hours: 17.5 hours per week
Contract: Temporary to cover maternity leave (likely to last one year)

As a Library Assistant, you will provide general clerical and administrative support in the College Library. Duties will include supporting the day-to-day running of the Library through book issues and returns and liaison with students and staff. You will take part in new book processing and the creation of displays. You will also support the development of the service through Library promotions, inductions and other training events.
You will ideally have relevant library experience, preferably in an educational environment, and must possess 5 GCSEs (grades A*-C) including English Language and Maths, or equivalent. Excellent IT skills are essential and experience of using library management software is desirable. Candidates will demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development.
