Working as part of a small and friendly Partnerships & Skills team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with schools, education providers and community groups across West Yorkshire. You will develop a programme of activities which raise the profile of the College and promote the education opportunities on offer.
Your duties will include actively promoting the courses on offer at the College, co-ordinating and delivering presentations and activities within schools, and devising and implementing initiatives that inspire and engage potential students in all age groups.
You will have excellent organisational and IT skills as well as relevant experience. You should possess a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. A full driving licence and the ability to use own vehicle is essential.

The focus of this role is to teach plastering students in practical and theory classes. The successful applicant will work in one of the most successful and largest plastering departments nationally. The team you will be working in have the responsibility for teaching Plastering students at Level 1, 2 and 3 apprentices, study programme and adult students.
You will join us by delivering plastering skills to a range of students taking vocational qualifications. These groups will be a variety of different sizes within our department, applicants should have relevant industry experience in the plastering trade area and be qualified to NVQ Level 3.

Previous experience of working and supporting young people in an educational or careers guidance setting is essential for this role, alongside knowledge of the local recruitment market, further/higher education academic progression routes and issues relating to learning and employment.
You should be confident in delivering career-focused group workshops and carrying out 1-1 meetings with students to help them achieve their career goals. Excellent presentation skills are essential, as are good IT skills, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
You should be Level 4 Qualified in Information, Advice and Guidance and possess ( or be willing to achieve) a Level 6 Qualification in Career Guidance and Development to reach the CDI Licence requirements. You should also possess GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 Equivalent

In this key role, you will support vulnerable students and their families where specific safeguarding concerns have been identified. As the college’s Designated Teacher for care experienced individuals, you will be responsible for the promotion of their educational attainments.
The Safeguarding Officer role is essential in the effective management of safeguarding concerns, ensuring a proactive and responsive safeguarding culture. You are responsible for managing safeguarding referrals through the CPOMS system, ensuring all interventions align with child protection legislation and statutory guidance, including keeping children safe in education (KCSIE) and working together to safeguard children.
The successful candidate will have proven safeguarding experience and will work effectively in collaboration with staff and external agencies to help achieve meaningful outcomes for those students and their families. You must be reliable, dependable and committed to maintaining high professional standards.

Hours: 29.5 hours per week x 38 weeks

Duties will include working in the classroom to provide support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring that they can integrate as fully as possible in learning activities alongside their mainstream peers. Using intervention techniques to deal with both emotional and behavioural issues will form a large part of the role.
You will be working with our most vulnerable SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities) students to support their learning, achievement and progression into adulthood both in and out of the classroom environment. You will develop supportive relationships with students whilst maintaining professional boundaries and use strategies to promote/reinforce student self-esteem. The ideal candidates will have previous experience of working with young people in an educational capacity and must have a good understanding of EHCPs and SEND. It is essential you have knowledge and experience of different learning needs and using strategies to support students to become independent. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to work both under the direction of the class tutor and using your own initiative.
This role would be great experience for those considering a career in teaching/education, social work or working with people who have learning difficulties.
You will receive training on how to undertake the role as part of your induction and additional training is also available on a range of difficulties such as dyslexia and ADHD.
You must have 5 GCSEs (Grade A*-C) including English Language and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent, you should also have some experience of assisting students with learning difficulties and disabilities and experience of the FE sector would be a distinct advantage.
